How to Raise Collective Consciousness in the Face of Global Suffering
One of the most common questions people ask on their spiritual journey is this: How can we raise collective consciousness when there’s so much global suffering?
It’s a powerful question—and it leads us to one of the core teachings I explore in my work: what actually creates your experience?
Let’s begin here. Everything you experience happens in the present moment. There’s no actual past or future—just the stories we attach to what was or what might be. But your experience? That’s always here and now.
Inside this present moment, there are two hemispheres. One is the physical: what you experience with your five senses. The other is the non-physical: your thoughts, memories, imagination, and everything you perceive beyond the senses.
So let’s ask—where does “global suffering” live for you?
Unless you’re in the midst of it firsthand, global suffering doesn’t live in your physical reality. It lives in your non-physical awareness: the news headlines you read, the videos you watch, the thoughts and emotions you carry.
That’s not to say it’s not real—it is. But your experience of it is internal. It’s a movie playing in your mind. And this is important because it brings the power back into your hands.
You see, we often try to change the world by trying to fix what’s “out there.” But real change—lasting, energetic change—starts within. When you revise your internal movies, your projections, your emotional landscape, you begin to raise the frequency of your own consciousness.
And that’s how we raise the collective.
If you practice something like Reiki, you’re not directing energy at the chaos of the world. You’re directing it inward—to the stories, memories, and energies that live in your own consciousness. That’s where healing begins. That’s where the ripple effect is born.
So when the world feels overwhelming, don’t underestimate the power of tending to your own present moment. Because as you heal and uplift your internal world, you are actively raising the collective consciousness—one shift at a time.
